Job Optimization Analyst I

LCRA is currently seeking an Optimization Analyst I to work for the Business Optimization team. At an entry level position, the optimization analyst I will provide analysis of business information and systems in order to reduce cost, improve quality and provide for more informed strategic decisions.Serving as a liaison between technical staff and end-users of software, you will assist in the development and maintenance of information databases, performance tracking systems and resource planning and analytical tools.You will also assist in designing new or modified tools, processes and procedures to solve complex problems considering limitations and desired results. Other responsibilities are below: Acts as the liaison between business departments and technical staff to enable technical solutions to business needs, either through development of new software or through purchase and configuration of software. Assists in the development of business cases for technical solutions and participates in build vs. buy decisions on technology project teams. Analyzes business operations to understand process strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to improve processes and functions. Designs new or modified processes to enable solutions. Analyzes external market conditions, available system upgrades, industry best practices and other information critical to business processes. Develops and implements analytical tools and reports in support of LCRA's processes and mission. Documents business requirements to be used in developing technical solutions. Assists in change management initiatives, from project initiation to final implementation to ensure that requirements have been met. May provide support to end-users of process and/or applications in areas such as: assigning user access, coordinating review and audit of user access, designing training materials, training end-users, designing and delivering complex reports in support of business operations, maintaining online documentation, researching and correcting moderately complex system errors and tracking issues and resolutions. May provide on-the-job training and guidance for colleagues with less experience. May assist in the development and implementation of standardized procedures for business systems analysis, business process mapping and business requirements documentation. May utilize business process management tools to translate process maps and process measurements into system level implementation. May provide recommendations on selection/upgrades of these tools. May provide on-going support and maintenance of systems as well as performs scheduled activities related to applicable systems.

Four or more years’ experience in operations analysis, process improvement, project management, business systems analysis or financial analysis. A degree in, business, economics, finance, computer science, information systems or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. Equal Opportunity Employer
