We're looking for a dynamic, highly-motivated Cardiology Course Director who is excited to challenge the traditional norms of medical education as it evolves and embraces technology. The right person will have medical expertise plus insight into both learner and faculty needs, serving as an advocate between the users.
What you'll do:Work with the internal team to create, review and update Cardiology materials:
> Medical knowledge: Core curriculum
> Practical knowledge: Syllabi, core metrics, most common lookups, etc. Act as a liaison to institutional course directors. Advise and train on how to integrate digital resources into didactics, including faculty mode and scheduling tools.Research and validate existing material and strategies for best practices. Stay current with the research but understand how this knowledge is different from the level that the learner needs. Create memos (podcasts, one page talking points, etc) on regular cadences to discuss whatâ€™s happening in research and practice in Cardiology. Work to create material specifically for the road to residency in Cardiology, focusing on what learners need to be doing in the early years as they evaluate their career path decision (hands-on research, score goals, etc). Evaluate Case X for the course, and prioritize and collaborate on its growth to teach skills and knowledge relevant for the early learner.
Qualifications you'll need:MD, DO, or PhD in Cardiology.Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to report to and motivate cross-functional stakeholder groups (internal and external).Demonstrated skill at identifying learner needs for skills and knowledge at their level (medical student), and how that may differentiate from your expertise.Strong analytic, problem-solving, organizational, verbal, written and presentation communication skills. A minimum desired commitment of 10 hours of availability per month, with flexibility for ebbs and flows of your other responsibilities.
Skills that will help:Familiarity and comfort with collaborative online software and tools. Teaching experience at the medical student or resident level. Writing or previous authorship. Previous experience and exposure to the OnlineMedEd platform and curriculum.

This is a paid contract position dependent on availability and career point, scalable up to full-time work.
