The Truck Driver is responsible for carrying out materials transfer, delivery, or pick-up as delegated by the Manager or Foreman.
Carryout, to the full extent required, logistics activities for the processing of any and all NARSTCO products; Daily inspection of truck and trailer, completion and maintenance of inspection logs. The inspection and proper securing of loads for transport. Maintenance of department equipment as necessary. Follow and comply with all traffic, safety, and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Training of new employees which shall include participation in the development of standard operating procedures and instructional material manuals. To exercise the utmost degree of integrity, honesty, good faith and fidelity to the Company, in dealing with the Company and with its customers, employees, suppliers and other public entities. To provide such other reasonable services as the Company may request from time to time.

Travel Regional Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
Valid Class A CDL Driver's License
Three to five years' experience with 48' flatbed trailer operations
Knowledge and experience with truck and trailer inspections, logs, and related paperwork
Knowledge and experience in loading and securing materials for transport
Knowledge and experience staging trailers for the loading and unloading of materials
Ability to follow instructions as required for production and quality based on customer deliverable requirements
Ability to work well with other departments to meet customer needs and goals
One to two years Forklift operation and certification is a bonus
The job operates in the yard and production area of the NARSTCO facilities and work may require exposure to potentially dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, potential physical harm,loud noises, fumes, occasional sparks, metal dust and industrial moving parts in the plant facility.Proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and Safety Regulations must be adhered to at all times.Physical Demands. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, listen, talk, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, twist, reach,push/pull, climb, and work involves lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Assistance is required for anything over 50 pounds.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work. This is a full-time position. Hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week with occasional weekend work depending on company internal and external product deliverable demands.
