A growing UAV and remote sensing solutions company based in Austin, TX is looking to add an experienced Sales Director to our team. We build custom, survey-grade laser mapping systems, and automation software for flight planning, acquisition, and post-processing, enabling clients to collect detailed, 3D topographic information for a wide range of commercial and research applications, including engineering, construction, mining, and more.

We are building out our team here in Austin, TX, and looking for an experienced Sales Director to join our team. The ideal individual will be an energetic self-starter who is pro-active in driving new revenue and increasing our client base. The Sales Director will work alongside leadership providing overall guidance and direction for our products and, determining how to meet corporate and division objectives, expand into new markets, and prioritize resources.

We are looking for someone who is results-driven, has strong and natural sales talents, and is committed to creating new business opportunities.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Meet or exceed target revenue goals, both short-term and long-term

  • Develop excellent networking strategies and relationships with institutions and businesses as it relates to the Target Markets

  • Develop and manage a worldwide sales organization with $10+ Million in annual sales

  • Ability to identify problems and technical differentiators and articulating these to both technical and non-technical professionals

  • Experience selling high-value systems both Hardware and Software

  • Implement and maintain the company’s program to track and report forecasted revenue pipeline for new and existing products

  • Provide annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue forecasts 

  • Communicate market and industry information to division management on a timely and effective basis

  • Provide thought leadership to the sales organization, clients and prospective clients

  • Implement sales objectives aligned with the company´s strategic goals

  • Develop quarterly strategic plans and weekly projection reports, as well as set budgets and goals

  • Manage key accounts and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Responsible for managing channel sales

  • Attend industry-specific trade shows and conventions domestic and abroad

  • Requirements:

  • B.S. in technical subject preferred; M.S. and/or MBA preferred

  • 10 years' experience within the Electronics or Electronic manufacturing sector - preferred

  • 5+ years' of sales management experience, managing multiple salespeople (inside and outside sales)

  • Experience managing International Reseller/ Distributor networks

  • Proven experience working with Government contracts

  • Must have a consistent track record of the year to year sales growth

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/owner mentality

  • Executive-level experience successfully structuring and closing deals

  • Proven experience working within a startup and/or high growth environment

  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership

  • Excellent work ethic and leadership skills

  • Current valid US Passport and Drivers License

  • Expected travel percentage 50%
